Retainer-Periodic Payment: Usually a ten (10) hour escrow retainer is paid in advance of conducting any aspect of the evaluation. This is a refundable engagement fee. This sum is held in a separate account against any final or unpaid costs. It is not billed against as work proceeds.

- Any unused portion of the advance or escrow retainer will be refunded once services have been concluded by settlement, adjudication,
or dismissal of the case.
- Each time the advance is depleted a subsequent advance is due immediately upon request against which each additional hour will be
billed at the rates described above.
- Insurance: Forensic services cannot, and will not, be billed to any health insurance provider for reimbursement. Forensic services are neither viewed as being 'medically necessary' or constituting insurance carriers' definitions of 'mental health services'.
- In no event is payment for the performance of any forensic service contingent on the ultimate outcome of a case, rather payment is to
be made in a timely manner as services are rendered and billed.
- Cancellation: In the event this case is settled prior to my conducting any aspect of the evaluation or records review process two (2) hours time will be charged as a cancellation/ administrative charge to reflect the time spent in preparing and the time set aside for the evaluation.
